Third Sunday of Advent Dec. 15
If you don’t like cats skip this section!
I got my two kittens last Friday. The 1st anniversary of my dad’s death was last Saturday. Because of this I named them after my mom and dad. Norma and Missy.
Norma is the adventurous one. She comes out to see what is happening. She likes to run around like mad, especially late at night. She loves to attack toilet paper. It only takes about two seconds of petting for her to start purring.
Missy is the scared one. She always hid the first couple of days. Now she just mostly hides. In order to make her feel safe I made a cat condo out of big cardboard boxes. Now she has a place to hide where no one can get her. She often looks out at me from the door.
Large Nativity Set
We received a donation of a large cement nativity set that is out by the road. It will be a good witness to people driving down Malaga Rd.
The Calendars are out for next year. Last year we had many left over, so if you want to take one of each it is ok.
I have been working out this week. If I get out tonight (Friday) it will be 5 times for this week. I will need a few more times to officially be on an exercise kick. I usually go on a kick once a year and lose 15 to 25 Lbs. Then I slowly put it back on after a couple of months. My philosophy is that “It is better to have lost and gained then to have never lost at all”.
There will be extra confession times before Christmas so that everyone can get to confession. Remember that you are required to go at least once a year. The Catechism says “The second precept (“You shall confess your sins at least once a year”) ensures preparation for the Eucharist by the reception of the sacrament of reconciliation, which continues Baptism’s work of conversion and forgiveness. (2042 CCC)
Additional Confession times in preparation for Christmas:
Friday, Dec. 20 7:30-8:00pm
Saturday, Dec. 21 4:00-4:45pm
Sunday, Dec. 22 8:45-9:15am & 7-8pm
Monday, Dec. 23 7-8pm
